Release date: 20 November 2015
Running time: 134 minutes
An endearing and nostalgic Taiwanese romantic coming-of-age comedy blockbuster. As an unhappy adult stuck in a dead-end job, Truly (Joe Chen) casts her mind back 18 years to her schooldays in the more innocent 1990s. As a girl (Vivian Sung), she's awkward, clumsy and goes virtually unnoticed. But she develops a crush on the coolest guy in school, OuYang Fei Fan (Dino Lee). Meanwhile, ruffian gang leader Taiyu (Darren Wang) is besotted with the school belle - and OuYang Fei Fan's girlfriend - Tao Min Min (Dewi Chien). Together, Truly and Taiyu form a pact to break up the golden couple. But Truly soon begins to realise that she has developed feelings for the bad boy. Veteran Taiwanese TV producer Frankie Chen's big-screen debut is a sparky, sweetly funny and warmly nostalgic teen romantic comedy, with plenty of slapstick humour. Anchored by a terrific performance from talented Vivian Sung, it's Taiwan's biggest box office hit of the year.
