A 24 year old boy (Janta) is a great fan of the 80s punjabi film actress Preeti Sapru. One day one of his friends from the village (Leela Singh) tells him that his sister in law is a lookalike of Preeti Sapru. He begs him to arrange his marriage with her. Leela Singh takes him with him to his brother in law's marriage. Some problems arise in the marriage and Janta comes forward to solve them and becomes a cult hero. This helps him win the love of (Mahno), the lookalike girl of Preeti Sapru.
