Shang-Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings is the first Asian-focused movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). It's a key chapter in Marvel Phase Four, pitting Simu Liu's mystical martial arts master Shang-Chi against the villainous Mandarin (Tony Leung).
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Short Term 12), the film's shooting schedule has experienced setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, the official reveal of the cast should make one very excited. Among the newly announced faces: Awkwafina (who is busy with Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon and The Little Mermaid on the go), and Michelle Yeoh (who featured in hit comedy Crazy Rich Asians with Awkwafina).
