Smile 2’s Parker Finn and Naomi Scott on what it takes to terrify an audience

Spine-tingling horror sequel Smile 2 is this week's must-watch chiller, plunging eager horror movie fans into another terrifying life-or-death scenario. Returning director Parker Finn scares up another eerie conceit in which emotionally frazzled pop star Skye Riley (Naomi Scott) falls victim to the smile curse on the eve of her world tour comeback.

Can Skye be sure that those grins from the audience are sycophantic responses from fans, or something more diabolical? And how will she overcome the horrific curse? Those who watched the hit Smile in 2022 will know that a jumpy, gory rollercoaster is set to unfold as the human face is mangled into all manner of horrific proportions.

We caught up with Parker and Naomi to discuss what it takes to scare a hardened horror audience. Check out both interviews below in which Parker discusses his classic genre influences and Naomi explains how to craft the ideal scary expression while on-camera.

Smile 2 is on release now at Cineworld so are you ready to grin and bare it? If so, book your tickets below.
