One of the year's most hotly anticipated movies has finally arrived on the big screen, with Mickey 17 now showing at a Cineworld cinema near you. Directed by Oscar winner Bong Joon-ho (Parasite), this visionary tale stars Robert Pattinson as Mickey Barnes, an expendable colony worker who is regenerated as a clone every time he dies while carrying out his duties. Huge in scale and packed with awesome action sequences, it promises to be a visceral treat – indeed, it's already received some very positive reviews from movie critics.
Mickey 17 is being shown in multiple formats at Cineworld, including 2D, IMAX and Superscreen. All of those will bring this futuristic adventure to life with a combination of breathtaking detail and incredible sound. However, if you're looking for the most immersive experience possible, then you really need to see the movie in 4DX – a format that combines stunning visuals with movement and multi-sensory effects (water, wind, authentic smells, etc) to really throw you into the thick of the action.

1. The ride of your life
Mickey 17 has some great action scenes, with the lead character being faced with numerous sticky – and at times downright terrifying – situations. Over the course of the film, he tumbles through a sheet of snow, gets catapulted into outer space and finds himself being swarmed by weird, sloth-like monsters known as creepers. In 4DX, you'll be right there with him, your seat moving and shaking in time with the action to deliver a truly white-knuckle cinema experience.
2. It'll give you the chills
Mickey Barnes spends much of the movie working on the ice planet Niflheim, which means he's exposed to sub-zero temperatures, extreme snowfall and the like. Watching the movie in 4DX, you'll experience cold water spray while sitting in your seat, making you feel like you're trudging through a blizzard like the main protagonist. Don't worry, you won't get your clothes wet – but you will feel exhilarated!
3. Hot stuff
It's not just cold temperatures that the lead character has to endure in Mickey 17 – there are moments when he's faced with blasts of heat, too, such as when he's tossed into a furnace. Needless to say, you won't miss out, with warm blasts of air providing a thermal thrill you won't forget.
4. You'll be blown away
There are several moments in the film when Mickey gets a sudden blast – whether that's by wind, steam or creeper breath. 5. Get a nose for it
