New Cineworld cinema to open in Plymouth in October

We have some BIG news for film fans in the South West – Devon’s very first Cineworld cinema is opening in Plymouth on 22nd October. And to celebrate, tickets will be £3 for the first week*.

Forming part of the city’s new leisure complex The Barcode, the cinema will feature 12 state-of-the-art screens – including an IMAX theatre and a 4DX auditorium – as well as offering a wide range of delicious refreshments, from Baskin Robbins ice cream and Rollover hot dogs, to ICEE frozen drinks and Starbucks coffee.

With awe-inspiring images and heart-pounding audio, IMAX has been described as the world’s most immersive way to watch a movie. And 4DX must be the most exhilarating, thrusting viewers right into the thick of the action with high-tech motion seats and special effects such as wind, fog, lightning and scents. Want to discover these incredible experiences for yourself? The new Cineworld cinema opens just in time for the release of Terminator: Dark Fate, and it’s showing in both IMAX and 4DX.

As with all Cineworld cinemas, film fans in the area will be given the opportunity to sign up for a Cineworld Unlimited Card, which comes with a host of mouth-watering benefits. Not only will holders be able to watch an unlimited number of films per month, they will also be invited to advance screenings, and receive food and drink discounts, both at the cinema and at restaurants in the complex.

Even if you’re not an Unlimited Card holder, you’ll be able to take advantage of Cineworld’s regular offers, including discounted Movies for Juniors screenings (£2.50 per person, Saturdays, Sundays and school holidays), as well as the Cineworld family ticket and Student NUS discount. The cinema will also be available for private venue hire.
