For the first time ever, Cineworld is working in partnership with the BFI London Film Festival to bring lucky customers a series of exciting screenings throughout October.
The screenings are as follows:
Captain Phillips/ Thursday 10 October at 6.15pm
Based on real events, the new film from British director Paul Greengrass is a taut, high-stakes thriller starring Tom Hanks.
Sx_Tape/ Thursday 10 October at 9pm
Exhilarating and terrifying found footage horror film from the director of modern genre classics Paperhouse and Candyman.
All is Lost/ Monday 14 October at 6.30pm
Robert Redford offers an astonishingly physical performance as a yachtsman marooned at sea in JC Chandor’s almost dialogue-free endurance yarn.
Afternoon Delight/ Monday 14 October at 9pm
A disaffected middle-class LA housewife ‘rescues’ the young stripper who gave her a lap dance by moving her into the family home, with combustible results.
Labor Day/ Tuesday 15 October at 6.15pm
Jason Reitman blends elements of thriller, melodrama and coming-of-age tale to create a sumptuous and romantic study of emotional isolation.
Nebraska/ Tuesday 15 October at 9pm
Alexander Payne’s poignant road movie paints an affectionate portrait of the smalltown Midwest and features a fantastic performance from Bruce Dern.
Philomena/ Thursday 17 October at 6.30pm
Stephen Frears demonstrates his customary flair for extracting brilliant performances in this moving drama starring Judi Dench and Steve Coogan.
Inside Llewyn Davis/ Thursday 17 October at 9pm
The Coen brothers’ funny and melancholic elegy to early 1960s folk music is as cinematically nimble as it is musically rich.
The BFI London Film Festival 2013 runs from Wednesday 9 October until Sunday 20 October.
