The 9 Colleen Hoover books we want to see adapted after It Ends With Us

The Colleen Hoover adaptation It Ends With Us swoops viewers up in a blend of swoon-inducing romance and hard-hitting drama. Completing the Reynolds family box office domination, Blake Lively stars as Lily Bloom, an independent Bostonian woman caught between two men, one of whom unexpectedly starts to remind her of past childhood traumas.

The film has turned out to be a big box office success, hitting the sweet spot for all viewers starved of big-screen romance. Evidently, the film is riding high off the back of Hoover's bestselling book (the first of two in a series), which has sold more than a million copies worldwide. On that note, here are the Colleen Hoover books that need to be adapted next.

Verity

Hoover's standalone thriller centres on struggling writer Lowen Ashleigh who accepts a ghostwriting position for seriously injured author Verity Crawford. While attempting to finish Verity's current book series, Lowen discovers Verity's autobiography, which is filled with darkly terrifying revelations.

Maybe Someday

When college student Sydney is cheated on by her boyfriend, she finds herself entranced by her guitar-playing next-door neighbour. An intense relationship then develops and Sydney learns more about herself in the process.

Confess

Auburn Reed is looking to rebuild her life and soon becomes deeply attracted to enigmatic Dallas artist Owen Gentry. But is there more to him than meets the eye? And can Auburn make up for her past mistakes and integrate Owen into her path going forward?

Ugly Love

Tate Collins enters a passionate relationship with airline pilot Miles Archer and both make it clear that they don't want strings attached. The relationship stands to last as long as Tate doesn't question Miles' rules: never ask about the past and don’t expect a future.

Losing Hope

In this sequel to Hoover's number one hit Hopeless, Dean Holder finds himself haunted by the girl he let walk away. When they unexpectedly reconnect, he cannot imagine the emotional impact it will have on his life.

Slammed

This is the first instalment in Hoover's Slammed series. Bereaved 18-year-old Layken is forced to care for her mother and younger brother, but when she meets her 21-year-old neighbour Will, sparks begin to fly. However, surprise revelations spring to the surface after their first date. Can they make it last?

This Girl

In Hoover's third instalment of her Slammed series, we pick up with lovers Layken and Will. They are now married and willing to embrace a measure of security, but Will still clings to his painful memories. With Layken's help, he starts to reveal them, which has a profound effect on their union.

November 9

Fallon is about to move cross-country but then meets attractive author Ben. She then becomes the inspiration for his latest novel and despite the vagaries of their individual lives, they agree to meet on the same date every year. But is Ben telling the truth?
