The riveting thriller September 5 recounts the 1972 Munich Olympics hostage crisis from the perspective of the news crew that broke the story.
Oscar nominee Peter Sarsgaard leads the cast, playing ABC Sports President Roone Arledge who bears witness to the horrific and terrifying hostage situation playing out live in the Olympic village.
Sensing an opportunity, he tasks his crew, for whom this kind of story is beyond their purview, to broadcast the news to the world. However, are they endangering the hostages in the process, and where does one draw the line between journalism and exploitation?

Unbelievable, honestly I was speechless towards the end of that film, nobody was talking at the end as it was one of them films. Gripping entertainment tonight Cineworld!

An absolutely incredible film was truly gripped from start to finish . Many moments where I was speechless. Absolutely shocking with the real events that took place at the Munich Olympic Games in 1972. All of the cast were fantastic and portrayed their characters very well indeed

It was a very good movie, but shocking at the same time with the real events that took place during the 1972 Munich Olympic games. It does have a slight parallel to Spielberg's take on Munich. The entire cast did a great job with their character portrayals! Score: 9/10! 😁😁😁

I'm definitely planning to watch this one again. Compelling, edge of seat movie making at its finest. We take rolling news for granted in 2025, but the risks the ABC crew took in 1972 are chronicled really powerfully here. Impactful + a must watch on the big screen. 5/5🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
