Can you ever have too much Nicolas Cage in your life? Of course not – that's why we're delighted to present the inaugural CageFest on 17th April at selected Cineworld cinemas nationwide.
To celebrate the release of the deliciously meta and surreal Nicolas Cage movie The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, we're championing one of the most idiosyncratic stars of his generation.
Fans will be treated to a four-film movie marathon with the following Cage classics screening on the day: Adaptation, Raising Arizona, Wild at Heart and The Rock.
-
Adaptation (screening 17th April)
Cage makes a delirious pairing with Being John Malkovich screenwriter Charlie Kaufman in this head-scrambling look at writer's block and editorial control.
-
Raising Arizona (screening 17th April)
One of Cage's breakout roles, this madcap Coen brothers comedy casts the actor as ex-con H.I. who becomes embroiled in an insane baby-kidnapping plot.
-
Wild at Heart (screening 17th April)
Cage can rarely be faulted for his audacious choices as an actor. This hyper-violent and nightmarish David Lynch road trip odyssey is a classic example.
-
The Rock (screening 17th April)
Following his Oscar win for Leaving Las Vegas, Cage abruptly transitioned into his action man period with this Michael Bay epic – and we're delighted that Cage made the jump.
