Tickets and Cancellations

Tickets & Pricing

Prices vary between cinemas as well as by film, format, seating type, time and day. To see specific cinema pricing please check the individual cinema pages. Online ticket prices may differ to those in cinema. A booking fee may be payable for tickets purchased online.
We want to offer customers a great cinema experience and good value for money. Our prices vary depending on the day and time of the performance, the format of the screening, seating type and from one cinema to another. We regularly review our prices so that we can continue to provide customers with a great choice of films and invest in the latest cinema technology. We believe that our tickets are competitively priced and we also offer promotions and discounts like off-peak tickets, Meerkat Movies and Movies for Juniors.
Ticket prices vary between cinemas because some have higher rent and running costs.
We know how exciting the run up to a big release can be and we will always put details of our films and screening times online as soon as we have them. This means you can usually book tickets for the following week from Monday evening (or Tuesday afternoon if the week contains a Bank Holiday).

On the other hand, if we expect a film to be extremely popular, we may start selling tickets a few weeks before its release
Yes - to find prices or book Senior tickets, please check your local cinemas page.

Child and Family Tickets

We offer a range of tickets including Babes in Arms and Family Tickets as well as standard Child and Student tickets. These can be found when booking online on our website or App. If booking in cinema, please enquire at the counter. Please note that prices may differ in cinema.
Children up to and including the age of 14 can use child tickets. 15 to 17 year olds are charged as a student price (proof of age may be required). 18 years and above should purchase adult or student tickets (proof of student status will be required).
Family tickets are fantastic value, as adults pay kids prices! A family ticket is made up of 1 adult ticket and 1 child ticket (child must be aged 14 years or under). If you want to upgrade your experience to our premium formats like 3D, Superscreen, ScreenX, IMAX, 4DX or special seating, you simply pay the uplift on the Family Ticket price. Online booking fees apply.

Please ask in cinema or check our website for details. Family tickets are available at all Cineworld cinemas.

In order to participate in the family ticket deal, both customers covered by the ticket must watch the same film.
We are happy to admit Babes In Arms into a morning or afternoon performance with a U, PG or 12A certification.

The Cinebabies performances are aimed at enabling parents with infants to come and watch movies with us in an environment more suitable for small children than our normal screenings- with the lights to half and the sound at a lower volume than normal, though there is no formal restriction on the age of children allowed to come to the performances. The screenings are primarily aimed at the parents rather than the children and we won't show any films rated higher than 12A.
On Saturday and Sunday mornings and during school breaks, selected cinemas offer special screenings with pre-show entertainment for our younger customers. These screenings are an ideal way to introduce your children to the movies at a bargain price: 2D screenings are priced from £2.50 per ticket. Each adults must be accompanied by children. Please note that films vary between cinemas. Check your local Cineworld page for full listings.
Our staff are legally required to ask for proof that you are old enough to watch an age restricted film if they have any doubt as to your age. In order to prove your age, we require official I.D. that includes a photo and date of birth such as a passport (a photocopy of a passport is accepted) or a driver’s license. We also accept all PASS accredited proof of age cards as well as ID uploaded via the YOTI app. For more information visit: http://www.pass-scheme.org.uk or yoti.com

The Guidelines are the product of extensive public consultation, research and the accumulated experience of the BBFC over many years. They reflect current views on film, DVD and video game regulation. For more information, please visit bbfc.co.uk.
Decisions on the weekly film schedule at a particular cinema are made by the Cinema Manager and our Film Buying department, based on the films that are being distributed to us. Each week they assess the popularity and demand of the various films being shown at any given time and then decide on a schedule that is appropriate for customer demand.
