Release date: 24 September 2023
Running time: 90 minutes
In the late 1960’s, a group of working-class Irish women win a trip to Lourdes. Each is hoping for a personal miracle, although the miracle may well be the group remaining as friends as old animosities start coming to the surface. This is one of those comedy dramas that the Irish make so well (Sing Street, The Commitments being other examples). How can this charming entertainment miss when you have a cast that includes Kathy Bates (Misery), Laura Linney (Love Actually) and the legend that is Maggie Smith, here effortlessly stealing the film with a powerhouse of a performance. Director Thaddeus O'Sullivan will attend the screening. Please note: There will be no ads or trailers, so please arrive promptly at the advertised start time.
