Penelope Cruz stars in and produced this powerful and topical drama, which could stand as a strong companion piece to many of the more recent Ken Loach features. Actor Juan Diego Botto (1492: The Conquest Of Paradise) turns co-writer and director for a social story that is sadly true in so many countries today. Rafa (Luis Tosar) is a lawyer activist who spends his life helping people who are about to be evicted from their homes, but who also struggles financially. During the course of twenty-four hours, Rafa will deal with numerous families, all on the brink, with the most notable case being Azucena (Cruz), a struggling shop worker. Since her husband has lost his job, the family have been unable to meet their mortgage payments and the bailiffs are coming. Please note: There will be no ads or trailers, so please arrive promptly at the advertised start time.
