1. Dog Man (released February 7th, 2025)
DreamWorks brings Dav Pilkey's bestselling graphic novel series to the big screen. When a human police officer Knight and his dog Greg are injured together on the job, a life-saving surgery changes the course of history when Dog Man is born. Pete Davidson voices the eponymous hero.
2. Snow White (released March 21st, 2025)
Disney's masterful and groundbreaking 1937 animation Snow White and the Seven Dwarves now gets a glossy live-action makeover from filmmaker Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man) in line with the studio's revised takes on The Lion King, The Jungle Book and Beauty and the Beast. Rachel Zegler (West Side Story) portrays the plucky Snow White while Gal Gadot promises to chew the scenery as the Evil Queen.
3. A Minecraft movie (released April 4th, 2025)
Everyone's favourite 'Peaches' vocalist Jack Black takes the lead role in this adaptation of the world-conquering video game franchise. Black plays Minecraft character Steve and Aquaman's Jason Momoa plays Garrett "The Garbage Man" Garrison. Will Minecraft mine the success of similar app adaptations like Angry Birds?
4. Lilo & Stitch
Disney's Hawaiian-flavoured 2002 animation Lilo & Stitch came toward the end of the studio's hand-drawn era and remains a popular hit thanks to its peppy visuals and offbeat characterisation, largely embodied via the dog-like alien Stitch. Marcel the Shell with Shoes on director Dean Fleischer Camp now gives the story a live-action twist, taking over from original helmer Chris Sanders (the man behind the recent animated hit The Wild Robot) to bring Stitch's story to a new generation.
5. How to Train Your Dragon live-action
Snow White and Lilo & Stitch aren't the only animations getting a live-action kick in the pants in 2025. DreamWorks' hugely popular How to Train Your Dragon series is also being rendered in flesh and blood terms, starting with the very first entry. If you're dubious, feel assured by the fact that helmer Dean DeBlois is back behind the camera and composer John Powell is returning to adapt his stirring orchestral melodies. In the live-action role of the Viking-turned-dragon-rider Hiccup: The Black Phone breakout Mason Thames.
6. Elio
Pixar enjoyed a return to form in 2024 with their blockbusting sequel Inside Out 2. Expectations are therefore high for their next project Elio, which is the story of an underdog kid with an active imagination who finds himself inadvertently beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization with representatives from galaxies far and wide. Expect the usual eye-popping visuals and trenchant emotional lessons, topped off by a talented voice cast including Jameela Jamil and Zoe Saldaña.
7. The Bad Guys 2
Wisecracking noir-riffing animated heist adventure The Bad Guys was a big hit for DreamWorks on its release in 2022. Now, the nefarious crew of miscreants is back, once again led by Sam Rockwell's rogueishly likeable pickpocket Mr. Wolf.
8. Wicked Part 2
The first part of the epic big-screen Stephen Schwartz adaptation Wicked hit our screens in 2024. Now, we get the climactic instalment in the story of Glinda (Ariana Grande) and Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo). Will you be walking the yellow brick road back to Cineworld on its release?
9. Zootropolis 2
The utterly delightful Zootropolis was one of Disney's finest stand-alone animations in recent years. It explored a teeming, bustling metropolis inhabited by anthropomorphic animals, a tribal society built on predator and prey, which gave rise to all manner of terrific jokes and potent emotional undercurrents. Zootropolis 2 is set to pick up with plucky rabbit cop Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) who must go undercover with her sly fox sidekick Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) in Marsh Market to track down a mysterious reptile.
10. The Spongebob Movie: Search for Squarepants
Irreverent animated icon SpongeBob travels to the depths of the ocean to face off against the Flying Dutchman. Expect yet more off-the-wall humour as the Nickelodeon institution keeps on trucking in the wake of the previous hit Spongebob films.
The Cineworld Family Ticket allows adults to pay kids' prices. It invites movie fans of all ages to be more childish together as they enjoy the magic of the big screen.
The family ticket applies to 2 adults and 2 kids or 1 adult and 3 kids. This can be used for children up to the age of 14.
Remember, adults pay kids' prices and the savings are the same.
