5. Conclave (screening November 11th)

Ralph Fiennes stars in this engrossing thriller adapted from Robert Harris' bestselling book. The noted British thespian plays Cardinal Lawrence, the man tasked with electing the new Pope after the former Pontiff dies. However, Lawrence soon makes shocking discoveries that threaten to compromise the entire Papal conclave.

The film is directed by Edward Berger whose visceral World War I drama All Quiet on the West Front (2022), adapted from the book of the same name, was hailed for its visceral sense of horror. Conclave is set to be quieter and more dialogue-driven but no less gripping, and it showcases an all-star supporting cast including Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow and Isabella Rossellini.
