Hot on the heels of this year's sensationally successful Wicked, the second instalment is called Wicked: For Good. The film takes its name from one of the pivotal songs in act two of Stephen Schwartz's Broadway bonanza, and was confirmed via the film's X page.

Wicked Easter Egg hunters may well have noticed that the 'For Good' melody was subtly interwoven into the score for the first film. Composer John Powell used the theme as the bedrock friendship/platonic love theme for Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), later to become the Wicked Witch of the West, and Galinda/Glinda (Ariana Grande).

Wicked concludes with Elphaba embracing her cackling destiny while the formerly vapid Galinda looks on in dismay as she learns to develop a conscience. Jeff Goldblum's Wizard of Oz, Michelle Yeoh's nefarious Madame Morrible and Jonathan Bailey's dashing Prince Fiyero all have their parts to play as Elphaba seethes in resentment and the events of The Wizard of Oz (1939) are put into motion.
